    Our Lamar Corporate office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is now hiring a Financial Accountant. The purpose of the Financial Accountant I position is to support the Accounting department by performing various functions to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Company’s accounting records.

    • First-year earning potential of $55,000 - $67,000 / year, dependent on performance and qualifications

    A day in the life:

    • Analyze balance sheet accounts, including the preparation of multiple bank reconciliations
    • Prepare journal entries to record daily business activity and for month-end close
    • Effectively analyze and communicate income statement trends and/or issues with the accounting team
    • Evaluate financial information by developing reports and verifying information
    • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
    • Assist the Financial Accountant II, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, or Director of Accounting with special projects, as needed

    What we're looking for in YOU:

    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) and GSuite
      (Google Sheets, Slides, Docs)

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field required
    • 2-3 year of related work experience preferred

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • The primary work environment is an office.
    • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
    • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 5%.
