The Business Development Team at Fors Marsh Group is seeking an intelligent and motivated team member to assist with tasks related to business development. The Business Development team at Fors Marsh Group is responsible for the strategic relationships with current clients, partners, and prospects, in addition to working closely with contracts and marketing. This full-time position is best suited for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, ability to learn new things quickly, strong interpersonal skills and solid computer skills. This individual will gain exposure to the federal contracting process, business development and sales management, and the market research industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Conduct background research and market analysis on business development opportunities.
- Assist Business Development Team with company proposal and RFI efforts, including formatting documents for final delivery.
- Conduct routine data entry in Business Development databases, such as company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
- Coordinate with other departments and teams as needed for proposal and RFI efforts.
- Contribute to proposal and RFI creation using established templates and processes.
- Lead sections such as past performance, resumes, and other sections not requiring subject matter expertise.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as reviewing documents for typos and grammatical errors, printing/assembly/shipping, formatting, and resume editing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education & experience in areas such as business, marketing, or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and shifting deadlines.
- Possess initiative and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and perform as part of a team.
- Strong written skills and attention to detail necessary for writing, editing, and formatting tasks.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- CRM administration skills are a plus.
