    FMG is seeking an intelligent and motivated research analyst needed to work as part of a research team. This individual's primary responsibility will be support of surveys and other research efforts aimed for Government clients. This job is best suited for an individual who enjoys research, possesses excellent attention to detail, continuously strives to learn and develop, and prefers working in a cooperative environment.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Assist with the development, implementation, and analysis of large-scale tracking surveys examining topics such as ethnic/racial discrimination, gender discrimination, ethnic/racial harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual assault in the military.
    • Work with datasets (e.g., run frequencies, compute means), manage datasets, and assist in data cleaning.
    • Conduct quality control checks through the survey lifecycle.
    • Conduct univariate and multivariate analyses to support a variety of research projects.
    • Code qualitative data collected from focus groups, in-depth interviews, and cognitive interviews.
    • Prepare written reports and professional briefings that summarize research findings.
    • Work under tight deadlines to fulfill client requests.

    Qualifications:

    • Citizenship Required per client contract
    • Bachelor's degree in social science, statistics or related field required.
    • Two years of academic or professional research experience preferred.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member.
    • Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel® and at least one statistical analysis software package (e.g., SPSS, STATA, SAS).
    • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint® to create presentation slides.
    • Strong quantitative ability and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
    • Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information; to be eligible applicants must have US Citizenship.
