The purpose of this Marketing Intern is to assist with Lamar’s social media account management and content strategy, email marketing, public relations, and reporting. This is a paid, part-time position at $15 / hr for 30-39 hours a week.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Currently pursuing a BS in Marketing or Advertising preferred
Previous experience in the Marketing realm required
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Monitors social interaction on the Lamar accounts and responds to comments accordingly
Manages social media inboxes
Works with Marketing team to brainstorm and develop relevant content that will help increase social interaction, promote brand identity and drive traffic to the corporate and local websites
Updates social media content/posting calendar
Updates social media spot on Highspot
Posts approved content to Lamar’s corporate social media accounts
Stays up to date on social media trends
Compiles metrics for monthly marketing reports
Manages PSA Partner of the Year program
Keeps local/national PR media lists up to date
Tracks press mentions
Assists with email marketing campaigns and reports
Assists with other marketing projects (marketing and PR campaigns, website updates, etc.) as needed

The primary work environment for this position is an office.
The physical demands for this position include light lifting, reaching, seeing (with a focus on reading, color distinction, and acuity), sitting more than 50% of the time, standing, talking, turning, and walking.
