The Senior Undergraduate Advisor is responsible for supporting students academic and personal success throughout their time at the Pardee School Global Studies. The Undergraduate Advisor is primarily responsible for advising undergraduate students in majors offered by the Pardee School. Provides support to the Associate Dean for Studies and the Director of Student Affairs in activities related to the Pardee School undergraduate program and student services. Supervise and manage undergraduate office including the hiring and supervision of the work study students. The Senior Undergraduate Advisor will work with appropriate Pardee School staff on coordinating undergraduate student activities which may include, travel and research grants for undergraduate students, marketing for undergraduate admissions, collaboration with the graduate office, managing undergraduate events and other related responsibilities as assigned. Ideal candidates will be interested in student success and learning and will be excited to develop substantive, long-term advising relationships. Experience working within a student-centered, collaborative, and fast-pace environment. Due to the highly interactive nature of this role, candidates must possess very strong inter-personal skills as well as exemplary written and verbal communication abilities. Likewise, candidates should be attentive to details and able to keep themselves organized. Demonstrated previous experience interacting and collaborating with students, faculty, staff, and parents of diverse backgrounds. Project and/or event management skills such as logistical planning and publicity. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Academic background in international relations and similar subjects is helpful but not required.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree, strong writing, communication and analytical skills, and two to three years of advising experience in an academic environment.
