  • Responsibilities

    The Administrative Assistant will perform all administrative activities for the Office of the Dean. The individual must exercise initiative, independent judgment and discretion in arranging meetings, maintaining appointment schedule and disposing of requests for information. They will act as a backup resource to the Dean and the Executive Assistant of the Dean when the Executive Assistant is out of the office. Some of the major activities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Keeping the calendar and scheduling meetings for the Office of the Dean staff.
    • Recording minutes at various meetings, ordering supplies, paying and reconciling invoices with the assistance of the Director of Finance.
    • Making travel arrangements, drafting and proofreading of correspondence.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor Degree Required
    • Must have at least 3 years in an administrative support role supporting multiple people with a variety of responsibilities.
    • Must have a high degree of attention to detail with correspondence and project specific work.
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
    • Must be able to think critically and problem solve and present ideas and or solutions for issue resolution.
    • Must be comfortable interacting with Dean’s, Department Chairs, Directors, Students, and Staff on a daily basis.
    • Must be able to work in a system driven environment with intermediate level experience in the following: Microsoft Office Applications – Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook
