OVERVIEW: Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking a Data Processor to join the MSA Information Management Solutions (IMS) division which has been offering data and insight solutions to the Consumer Package Goods industry since the early 1980s.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform rules-based data matching and verification using company's interactive applications; use 3rd party resources to justify matching decisions; use software to review data and research internal and external resources to validate or correct the data links; review results of Quality Control Checks and make necessary corrections.
- Identify unusual application performance or unusual patterns in the data and escalate to senior staff.
- Make recommendations to group lead or management to improve work efficiencies; maintain accuracy rates to meet or exceed established metrics.
- Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures and matching rules within assigned group; suggest updates to project related documentation.
- Communicate data abnormalities and project status with team members.
- Understand strategic goals for respective area and aligns personal goals; meet on a regular basis with direct management to review, update and monitor progress of established goals.
- Understand content of incoming files to perform assigned work.
- Take full ownership and accountability for their work.
- Attend ongoing training to achieve personal, professional and technical improvement.
Required Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year related experience working with data and demonstrating attention to detail, showing initiative and being accountable for assigned work
- Attention to detail with the ability to evaluate data for data anomalies
- PC familiarity including intermediate level PC software skills and email
- Experience with MS Office applications including Internet Explorer
- Ability to multi-task
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and meet daily required expectations and deadlines
- Accuracy rates must meet or exceed established thresholds.
- Ability to validate the work of others using internal verification tool
- Understanding of how incoming data are used as it pertains to matching; must be able to distinguish the details of the data descriptions
- Adherence to, and demonstration of, organization and division core values.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible and highly detail oriented; must be motivated and driven to succeed within the organization
- Makes best use of work time, does not take excessive breaks or spend time on activities not related to work
- Ability to effectively work with personnel on all levels
- Must work 40 hours per week, plus overtime when required
- Must apply an organized approach to performing tasks.
