MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
(i.e., Policies, procedures, etc. for which you are responsible.)
- Dry clean production area prior to sanitation operations; remove inedible meat from floor, cover any remaining combos and transfer to cooler, put away miscellaneous production supplies.
- Protect electrical panels and other sensitive equipment parts prior to washing.
- Clean machines; pressure wash, foam with industrial detergent, pressure rinse, sanitize and remove any rust present or operate self-contained cleaning systems on appropriate equipment.
- Remove all condensation from the walls, ceilings and doors.
- Wash and dry production floor.
- Wash floors and walls of dock.
- Wash cooler floor daily and the rest bi-weekly or as needed.
- Wash down lockers and clean locker room.
- Inspect the roof for leaking pipes.
- Remove all weeds, parts and debris from roof; clean the exhausts weekly.
- Clean and sanitize the roof catch pans.
- Clear all ground debris on plant property.
- Empty garbage cans and clean large garbage cans.
- Clean kitchen catch pans.
- Apply mineral oil to machinery as needed.
- Swab the production equipment and test for contaminants.
- Report any mechanical problems to maintenance.
- Clean chemical room and account for all cleaning buckets.
- Properly replace all cleaning equipment.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); recognize and practice Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).
- Keep assigned area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- On the job training is provided
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle or feel raw material.
- Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold or hot temperature.
- The job candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to follow directions, able to work under minimal supervision
- The candidate must be willing to work weekends and overtime hours.
