    Seasonal: April – December (Seasonal)Salary: College CreditReporting To: Sr. Director of Events & EntertainmentJob Description:This internship program is a hands-on experience for students to build their skills and learn the behind-the-scenes operations of a WNBA team. As the Events & Entertainment Intern you will participate in numerous opportunities such as game days that expose you to all departments as well as the many facets of working for a professional sports team. In short, as an Events & Entertainment Intern you will play a meaningful role in driving brand awareness to the LA Sparks.Key Program Benefits:An opportunity to work for a historic and well-known WNBA teamPractical knowledge and training on game presentation/events from planning to executionReal work experience to add to your resume as well as your courseworkChance to explore different avenues of the sports industry through access to various departmentsDuties and Responsibilities:Learn how to plan and implement for game days (coordinating, scripting, booking, etc.)Understand game-day set-up, such as: tents, tables, signs/banners, etc.Collaborate with in-house and booked talent, such as: DJ, Host, Dance Crews, artists, etc.Assist with social media content and implementation for Entertainment InstagramSupport virtual events via Zoom, StreamYard, and other platformsAid in researching contentAttend rehearsals and meetings as requestedOther duties as may be assignedKnowledge, Skills & Experience:Must be fully vaccinated and boostedStrong digital literacy (social media is a plus)Ability to multitask, prioritize and leadExcellent social skills, written and verbalFriendly, positive demeanorAbility to take direction/feedbackQuick learner who is able to adapt and excel in various environmentsGoal-directed, positive, reliable and high-energyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and are detailed orientedReliable transportation; use of personal vehicleAttend all LA Sparks home games and eventsJob includes night & weekend hours.We are an equal opportunity employer and you will receive consideration for this internship without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participant in the intern process, to perform significant job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges as required.
