    Front End Developer - CRAFT Boston (5774-094) Tracking Code 5774-094 Job Description YOUR ROLE As a member of the CRAFT Boston team, the Front End Developer will create responsive websites and rich interactive experiences. Youll be expected to write clean and maintainable JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Being up to date on current trends and techniques in the front-end community, youll be an advocate for best practices helping deliver the best user-experience possible. It will be essential for you to have a strong working knowledge of the technologies required to successfully meld the creative visual layer with the functional technology layer. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain interactive websites, emails, and display ads Work with Creative and Technical team members to help ensure the feasibility of designs against technical and financial limitations Provide guidance for the team and remove blockers keeping them from progressing Provide UX advice to Creative teams and create guidelines for UX and QA Contribute towards the continuous improvement of development methodologies and standards Contribute to estimating project timelines and accurately managing scope Develop and maintain pixel perfect, cross-browser, responsive websites Create rapid prototypes and help build capabilities by working on extra projects Design database schemas and deploy SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases when necessary Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously WHO WE ARE At CRAFT Worldwide, weve been fortunate enough to assemble a team of the industrys best craftspeople, each with a rich and robust background in advertising, adaptation and production. Participant in E-Verify Required Skills Computer Science degree, or similar Excellent HTML/HTML5, Javascript and CSS skills especially when creating responsive websites Implementation of front end optimization techniques such as Lazy Loading, Asynchronous Module Definition, Closures, Image Compression and Minification Familiar with QA tools such as Jira Version control and Linux command line experience Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills Solid understanding of cross browser capabilities and web standards Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills Required Experience 3-5 years experience writing modern Web Applications leveraging JavaScript, HTML and CSS Experience with CSS pre-processors such as Sass or Less Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, particularly editing themes and templates Experience with RESTful and Social APIs PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with animation using any of the following is a plus : Greensock, Canvas, CSS, Jquery or ImpactJS Experience with building HTML5 display ads and familiarity with Rich Media Vendors such as DoubleClick, Flash Talking and Sizmek Understanding of Photoshop and ability to extract assets from a supplied PSD Experience with technologies and frameworks such Angular, Node, React, Mustache/Handlebars, Bootstrap, jQuery & Require.js Job Location Framingham, Massachusetts, United States Position Type Full-Time/Regular
