Marketing & Events Summer Internship (Miami)
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Marketing + Event Services Intern to join our Miami team for the Summer + Fall (May through December). The In House Ideas internship program is an excellent way to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced marketing + events industry.
Support the In House team with everyday office needs, client marketing strategies, on-site event management, social media, and overall account support.
Maintain awareness of the new trends and what is happening in the Miami events world, as it pertains to music, film, fashion and lifestyle; and provide the team with constant updates for each of In House’s clients.
In House Ideas is a results driven, strategic consulting company dedicated to creating the pathway to success for clients. With experience working “In House” for top fashion, publishing, hospitality and health & fitness brands, the company was founded by Melissa Katz in 2011.
Melissa Katz, graduated Tulane University in 1997 with a BA in English Literature and began her career at Ocean Drive Magazine after a move to Miami in 1999 from her home town of Philadelphia. At Ocean Drive Magazine, Melissa worked with luxury clients to activate their brands effectively in the South Florida market. In 2001, she helped to launch the first edition of Art Basel Miami Beach Magazine where she remained as the Publisher until 2009. After a company merger with Niche Media, an array of new magazines including LA Confidential, Gotham, Hamptons, Aspen Peak and more were added to the family of publications, opening up an entire nation of opportunity for relationship building. As a National Sales Director, Melissa continued working with luxury brands, now building national programs designed to increase visibility throughout the country. Upon leaving Niche Media, Melissa joined David Barton Gym as the Director of Marketing where she increased the member base incrementally, developed strategic partnerships, and exposed the brand to the hippest fitness-minded consumers nationwide.
Melissa launched In House Ideas in August of 2011 to have the opportunity to use her 15 years of experience in both sales and marketing to increase revenue for niche brands worldwide who have engaged with In House to effectuate their bottom line.
