Compensation

Approximately $15/hour. (At least 16 hours per week.)

Description

We have a dedicated team that oversees all retail marketing and events at Grand Central Terminal in New York.

Available June through September: We are looking for an intern to assist with all marketing & event efforts this summer. The internship would be 2 days per week, and each day of any special events (Must be available to work all day June 30, July 10-14, August 22-24, and September 29)

Sample tasks include:

  • Assist in maintaining Grand Central website, social media platforms, and email newsletters
  • Research new content for social media and take photos/videos of the building for all social media channel
  • Assist with event production and assist with all event needs on-site
  • Assist with Grand Central tenant coordination
  • Managing incoming calls and emails from our info line
  • Brainstorm new marketing initiatives for our retail and dining tenants

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideal candidate will be an upper-level undergraduate or recent graduate with an interest in marketing and events.
  • Ideal candidate would already live/study in the NYC area
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including experience with social media management.
  • Previous experience with Adobe software (PhotoShop/InDesign), graphic design
  • Experience in special events coordination is a plus. Retail experience preferred but not required.
  • We want an enthusiastic team player that likes to share ideas and is ready for a challenge.

Jones Lang LaSalle is the retail manager for Grand Central Terminal in New York, NY.

Our team manages all aspects of tenant management and events at Grand Central on behalf of Metro-North Railroad.

The marketing team's primary goal is to drive additional traffic and revenue to our approximately 100 retail and dining tenants.
