Civil Engineering Intern- Coastal Emphasis Moffatt & Nichol is searching for a Coastal Engineering Intern to join our New York office. Interns will provide support to modelers, scientists and engineers by direct involvement in the planning, fieldwork, engineering, permitting and administration of projects.Duties and responsibilities:The successful intern would be a team player and coordinate with our engineering staff on projects that include coastal studies, surface water hydrology and hydraulics, flood risk management, and coastal restoration and protection designs. The candidate would complete data and engineering analyses, GIS mapping, prepare written reports and assist senior engineers such that they can maintain and build client relationships and lead projects.Assist project managers on projects that include: Flood risk reduction Coastal restoration Hydrodynamic or hydrologic modeling Ecological assessments, and Field data collection and navigation of difficult terrain may be required Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
