PAC is seeking a Medication Technician to work in a positive work environment with a team of supportive professionals. The Med Tech is responsible for supervising the self-administration of clients' medication, coordination of care with onsite medical staff, and providing support to counseling
Essential Functions:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Possess strong verbal and written skills and present a positive professional image
Ability to learn and apply clinical data entry in electronic health record system
Ability to maintain client medical confidentiality
Ability to work in a high-traffic area, with a variable work pace. in alignment with company values, goals, policies and procedures
Required qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must meet requirements of the Park Avenue Center's Observation of Self-Administration of Medications policy including attending an off-site Medication Administration Course~~.~~
Must pass a background check with MN Department of Human Services
Must be free of problematic chemical use for at least two years preceding hire
Preferred qualifications:
First Aid and CPR certified or ability to become certified immediately after hire
Knowledge of and comply with client rights, outlined in part 4747.1500 and of staff responsibilities or be able to obtain knowledge immediately after hire
Experience with electronic medical record programs
Environment/Work Setting:
The Medication Technician in a substance abuse co-occurring disorders treatment facility with clients who may have chemical dependency, mental health diagnoses, and/or emotional instability.
Job Type: Part-time, benefit eligible, Monday - Friday days available
Pay: $15.00/hour
