JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for accurate collection and documentation of client urine specimens in a Substance Use Disorder Treatment facility
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor clients providing urine for analysis
- Greet clients professionally and ensure client privacy
- Ensure that all necessary client information has been captured at time of collection including Ordering Physician, Ordered Tests, Patient Signature, Date, etc.
- Utilize appropriate procedures in handling specimens, requisitions, chain of custody
- Maintain professional relationship with clients while following a strict code of ethics
- Accurately document in client's Electronic Health Record, fax, scan, and copy paperwork as necessary
- Ensure cleanliness of break rooms, hallways, and bathrooms
- Professionally direct clients to appropriate group room locations
- Work alongside peers to offer and receive support when needed
- Monitor and maintain supplies for laboratory needs and communicate supply requests in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to maintain excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be comfortable working with urine specimens
- Ability to work in alignment with company values, goals, policies and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with co-workers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and electronic medical record program; or ability to obtain efficiency after training
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire
- Must pass a background check through the Minnesota Department of Human Services
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is a part-time position working Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 12.30pm. The starting wage is $17.25/hour.
