  • Responsibilities

    Mission Control Marketing is looking for a smart, creative recent graduate to jump into the day-to-day operations of the public relations team in our full-service marketing agency.

    First and foremost, we’re looking for someone that is pursuing a career in public relations, has a desire to do great work and is genuinely interested in learning the fundamental skills necessary to develop professionally in the industry. Additionally, we find that the right candidates tend to be readers, enjoy solving complex problems and hold themselves and their work to high standards.

    Previous experience in public relations or at an agency is not required. The goal of this fellowship is to prepare recent graduates for a full-time position in PR and to learn the fundamental skills that are required for building a successful career at a marketing or public relations agency. We don’t assign busy work or theoretical projects. Our expectation is that you will aim to produce impeccable work on every assignment and come away with key learnings that will drive your professional growth.

  • Qualifications
    • Writing. Lots and lots of it. You should be able to articulate ideas in a clear, concise and relevant manner for different channels including blogs, bylines, pitches and more.
    • Problem solving. You should expect to think through challenges, problems, and questions, and not just be told what to do. Collaboration and thoughtful ideation are essential to all of the work we deliver for our clients, and ourselves.
    • Research. Under our direction, we will expect that you will be able to conduct research, whether it be competitive analysis, media auditing or understanding new concepts/campaigns across the industry.
    • Project management. Housekeeping in the form of updating client trackers, managing documents, etc. You should be uber organized and self-motivated.
    • Media relations. We are looking for candidates that are interested in learning how to secure top tier media coverage for clients.
    • Education and mentorship. We will take the time to teach you how to accomplish tasks the right way.
    • Failure. We will hold your work to a high standard and expect you to make mistakes. How else will you learn from experience?
    • Housekeeping in the form of updating client trackers, managing documents, etc. You should be uber organized and self-motivated.

    This is a 3-Month Fellowship, with potential to be a full-time position.
