  • Responsibilities

    Neato is seeking REI Ambassadors in the Washington D.C. and San Francisco Bay areas. As a REI Ambassador, you’ll be responsible for inspiring fellow students to opt outside and experience the power of the outdoors.

    Candidates must be current undergraduate students at the University of California-Berkeley, San Francisco State, the University of Maryland-College Park or Howard University.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work an average of 10 hours per week to inspire students to opt outside
    • Promote activations and drive student attendance by leveraging the following channels: Word-of-mouth, Social Media, Campus media (newspaper, radio station, etc), Flyers and posters, Student Organization and professor outreach, Other unconventional methods based on your understanding of the campus culture
    • Collaborate with co-Ambassador at your school to reach the diverse student population
    • Assist in the planning and execution of student-targeted, outdoor events in your area
    • Identify and develop new, creative opportunities for REI to engage with students
    • Maintain proactive, consistent communication with Neato including weekly status calls, emails, and GroupMe messages
    • Stay up to date on the latest REI products, events and campaigns
    • Report on each activation in a timely manner by providing photos, anecdotes, learnings, etc. through set program tools

  • Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Full-time, Undergraduate Sophomore, Junior or Senior graduating no sooner than May 2018
    • Strong involvement in campus culture, specifically adventure or outdoor-focused clubs
    • Clear understanding of college market including outdoor facilities, organizations, and events
    • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to engage a crowd and represent the brand in a highly positive manner
    • Ability to fulfill role for Fall semester, potentially entire 2017-2018 school year
    • Previous Ambassador experience and current REI membership a plus
  • Compensation
    Earn up to $500/month
