Lamar Advertising is seeking a detail-oriented Recruiting Coordinator to oversee critical administrative functions, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. From managing job postings and facilitating offers to maintaining data integrity and providing exceptional customer service, you'll be at the forefront of our talent acquisition efforts, contributing to the growth and success of our organization.     For your first three months, this will be an in-person, on-site position at our Corporate office in Baton Rouge, LA. Following this 3-month period and dependent on job performance, you will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule.

    What you can expect from us:

    • Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour days within business hours of 7a-6p
    • Hourly rate of $19.24 on a weekly pay schedule
    • Weekly 1:1s with supervisor, monthly HR department meetings, and monthly team meetings

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee full hiring process (with the exception of active sourcing, interviewing, and candidate selection) for specified regions of the organization
    • Post jobs on company job board, following internal posting procedures
    • Set up job offers following standard offer approval process
    • Complete drug test and physical administration for safety-sensitive new hires
    • Effectively and responsibly utilize Applicant Tracking System powered by UKG
    • Oversee administrative functions of digital Onboarding process
    • Maintain data integrity at all steps of the process
    • Digitally file all new hire documents according to company guidelines
    • Assist hiring managers through the hiring process and troubleshoot system/user errors when necessary

    What we're looking for in you:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of Gmail and Google Drive
    • Ability to repetitively follow detailed processes and apply critical thinking
    • Ability to learn and operate new software/systems quickly
    • Foundational knowledge of the talent acquisition (recruiting) life cycle preferred, but not required
    • Knowledge of and passion for fostering an inclusive workplace is required

    • Active Listening: Ability to actively and carefully listen to others, with full concentration, to consider their perspective, and to respond in a way that shows understanding of and attentiveness to their needs.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or other relevant courses of study preferred
    • At least two years of previous experience in customer service, recruiting, hiring, administrative support, and/or Human Resources required
    • One year of talent acquisition/recruiting experience preferred

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • The primary work environment for this position is an office.
    • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, reaching, seeing (with a focus on reading, color distinction, and acuity), sitting more than 50% of the time, standing, talking, turning, and walking.
    • Nights spent away from home are less than 10%.
