    The Atlantic Region Lamar Advertising team is in search of a Regional Assistant to provide a high level of administrative assistance in support of the region’s operations.

    The Regional Assistant will work out of our Bowling Green, Kentucky office and will report to the Regional Manager to support our operations in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

    Regional Managers at Lamar are considered Executives so we're looking for someone with a strong professional presence, a sense of urgency, and high levels of organization.

    • First-year earning potential of $50,960 - $66,000 / year including bonus opportunities dependent on relevant experience and qualifications

    In this role you'll be expected to:

    • Oversee office organization and maintenance of office equipment.
    • Work independently or within a team on special nonrecurring projects and ongoing projects.
    • Work with MIS and vendors to resolve hardware/software issues that impact effective business operations. This may include setting up equipment and doing basic troubleshooting.
    • Develop and administer systems in conjunction with direction from regional management.
    • Provide daily support to the Regional Manager and Regional Director of Real Estate.
    • Analyze data and track daily, monthly, and annual revenues for 20+ offices. Provide timely updates on a daily basis to RM as well as field GMs and SMs.
    • Assist with the capturing of weekly revenue projections from 20+ offices and RM reporting.
    • Research historical information, compare past performance to present, etc. Review, analyze, and reconcile spreadsheets, reports, sales contracts, lease agreements, and vendor contracts.
    • Aggregate data and share metrics related to sales proposals, digital deployments, lease portfolios, and barter agreements.
    • Prepare slide decks for distribution and/or presentations.
    • Create files, documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
    • Facilitate the gathering of information for management’s consideration of property and company acquisitions. Participate in due diligence processes.
    • Upload, administer, and maintain company documents, statements and reports in Google Drive.
    • Using GL assignments - code, process, and submit accounts payable.
    • Facilitate purchase requests and the processing of bad debts.
    • Investigate venue options as well as pricing for company meetings. Negotiate with vendors and business partners. Obtain required approvals for all purchasing decisions.
    • Monitor relevant state legislative issues and disseminate information to appropriate RM/TM/GMs.
    • As needed, perform local errands to pick up and deliver supplies, meals, etc.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality on matters related to company personnel and performance.

    Human Resources & Benefits

    • Understand HR requirements and maintain confidentiality in all required matters.
    • Assist Regional Manager in obtaining new hire documents or other paperwork relating to employee status changes.
    • Assist with drug testing, pre-employment physicals, or other screenings.
    • May act as a liaison or program administrator in handling communications between Corporate and market employees.
    • Handle confidential and non-routine information and explain policies when necessary.

    General Administrative

    • Provide daily assistance to Regional Manager and Regional Director of Real Estate.
    • Transmit information by phone, FAX & email. Scan documents and prepare photocopies.
    • Generate business correspondence both independently and from notes. Includes business letters, memos, proposals, agendas and reports.
    • Develop filing systems and maintain archive records. Maintain backup documentation and reference reports.

    What we're looking for in you:

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Work requires an excellent command of the English language.
    • Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures, and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through 2+ years related experience.
    • Must have knowledge of a variety of web-based and computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
    • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
    • The position requires consistent poise, tact, responsiveness, and diplomacy.
    • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
    • Work requires continuous attention to detail in composing, typing and proofreading materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
    • Greeting walk-in customers with a friendly disposition.
    • Project in a professional manner on the phone, in person, and in handling written responses.
    • Develop and maintain cordial, effective working relationships.
    • Apply good judgment in decision making. Are able to make solid decisions based on policy and past practice.
    • Are solutions-oriented. Recommend solutions that reflect an understanding of policy and professional business standards.
    • Understand basic accounting principles. This is an essential requirement.
    • Show ability to generate standard business documents and reports using word processing tools such as Word and spreadsheets using Excel.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related Google Business Suite applications is preferred.
    • Exhibit the ability to independently set priorities for work completion, and reliably complete tasks on schedule.
    • Be able to interpret and summarize data.
    • Have a broad set of skills and experience that will support effective office operations and facilities management

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Bachelor's degree in business or another related field is preferred.
    • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative setting is preferred.
    • Or other equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • The primary work environment for this position is an office.
    • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading, acuity, and depth perception), and talking.
    • Nights spent away from home traveling are less than 10%.
