Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced AP Psychology tutor to join our team on a part-time basis. If you're passionate about education, enjoy working with motivated students, and value a well-run, supportive tutoring environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Assess current content knowledge and identify gaps relative to the AP Psychology course framework
Develop and manage a structured, week-by-week study plan leading up to the AP exam
Ensure comprehensive coverage of all required AP Psychology units, theories, terminology, and research methods
Assign, review, and provide feedback on practice questions and full-length practice exams, including scoring criteria and common pitfalls for the FRQ section
Track progress and adjust the study plan as needed to maximize exam readiness
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of tutoring/teaching experience
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university (graduate degrees preferred)
Availability after 3:00PM on weekdays and/or flexible on weekends
Patient, understanding, and reliable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing study plans tailored to a student's academic profile
Reliable transportation and a minimum 1-year commitment
