Overview The payroll clerk position is accountable for assisting the Payroll Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to, processing bi-weekly payroll, collecting timekeeping information, incorporating a variety of deductions into a periodic payroll, and issuing payroll related information to Team Members and management. Performs other duties as assigned by management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Non-exclusive list) Assisting with processing bi-weekly payroll. Helping meet payroll deadlines. Providing Team Members with services/counseling related to payroll without compromising confidentiality. Processing garnishments and child support notices. Communicates with the Human Resources Department to ensure accuracy of data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and rate changes. Makes updates as necessary. Checks figures for accuracy and necessary approvals. Maintaining exceptional communication across various teams. Serving as back-up for payroll manager or other Team Members as required. Performing assorted office clerical duties for the payroll and human resources departments as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business office environment required. 1 year of payroll related experience and familiarity with payroll processing software highly desired. Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English is required. Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and strong communication skills. Experience with administrative support tasks preferred. Must be familiar with and able to easily navigate general computer applications including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, and various other applications as required. Proficiency with Excel highly desired. Experience with HRIS such as KRONOS or ADP highly desired. Ability to operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, voice mail systems and personal computers. Comfortable working with a diverse population both in groups and individually. Must be available to work assigned shifts, including overtime, holidays, and weekends if required. Must be conform and abide by all Rose Acre employment, safety, animal welfare, and bio-security policies, and must report any violation of this policy to upper management immediately. Able to work in a 100% smoke-free environment.
