    OBJECTIVE

    The Digital Marketplace Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of online commerce platforms for Zimmerman clients. After the Experience Strategy has been defined, the Digital Marketplace Manager will coordinate internal resources to implement components such as product feeds that are necessary for activating the overarching strategy.

    The job requires in-depth knowledge of numerous digital commerce ecosystems including Amazon, Google Shopping, Instagram, and others, as well as experience implementing specific tactics per commerce channel.

    This position is client-facing and requires strong presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for constant learning.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement digital marketing tactics per commerce platform, as directed by Experience Strategy
    • Champion development of digital Commerce capabilities and marketing programs which will drive client Key Performance Indicators
    • Advise on digital channel capabilities to be leveraged and ideate tactics that align with digital strategy and client goals
    • Utilize research and tools to help identify unmet needs, hypothesize key customer problems, and provide digital solutions
    • Work with the analytics group to evaluate and report insights gained and effectiveness of digital efforts
    • Create clear, compelling content for client presentations, POVs, and other deliverables
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex digital/social concepts to a non-technical audience
    • Collaborate effectively with colleagues from a range of disciplines including Strategy, Creative, Account Management, Media and Technology
    • Monitor trends in digital and social media for improvements that can be made to the business
    • Participate/advise/collaborate on website development (have participated from a strategic perspective in a website development/redesign project)
    • Research/analysis skills including online listening, competitive/marketplace auditing, trend analyses (hot topics), and user experience (UX) design
    • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side
    • Big-picture thinking plus relentless attention to detail and self-starting mentality
    • Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, highly collaborative team environments.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and instinct for creative problem-solving

    Required Skills

    • 5+ years experience in either e-commerce management/strategy​ or digital strategy
    • Self-starter with excellent project management skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high stress environment and ensures follow-through on every matter with the ability to move projects to completion
    • Media planning, sales planning or account planning is preferred.
    • Knowledge of advertising, other integrated digital marketing disciplines including but not limited to SEO, SEM, Direct Response, Viral, etc.​
    • Ability to employ analytical approaches to solve digital marketing problems
    • Passion for and knowledge of current and emerging technologies
    • Background in most online technologies (HTML, Java, JQuery, etc.)
    • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, written, and oral communication skills
    • Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and strong interpersonal skills 
    • Experience with Adobe Omniture Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, DoubleClick
    • Experience with Data Management Platforms (DMP) and CMS platforms a plus
    • Strong strategic thinking ability
