  • Responsibilities

    The Platform Administrator supports the administration, monitoring, and operation of at-scale and emerging educational technology platforms centrally deployed by Boston University. Duties may include account management, configuration, update planning, training and other support for platform-specific educational content production. Duties may also include facilitation of the development and/or the integration of customized functionality to supplement existing platform functionalities, as needed.

    Required Skills

    Develop and sustain expert knowledge of at-scale and emerging online social learning platforms such as edX, Yellowdig and others. Serve as the point person working with vendors on platform incidents and problem resolution. In collaboration with instructional design, media and other colleagues, develop and maintain updates to relevant training materials for course and project teams. Facilitate training and relevant platform support to BU course and project teams. Work with course and project stakeholders to ensure that platform capabilities meet curriculum requirements, provide fit/gap analysis, and assist with implementing solutions Stay abreast of relevant new educational platform technologies and proactively investigate them for use within the BU context. Bachelors Degree required, advanced oral and writing skills, 3-5 years of work experience, and Advanced Project Management skills.
