  • Responsibilities

    _POSITION SUMMARY _

    Responsible for supervising employees and activities involved in ensuring the safe production of a wide range of products in compliance with company, customer and government requirements that meet required quality specifications. Must be willing to work multiple shifts and departments, as needed, for production needs.

    MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    (Essential duties for which this position is responsible.)

    • Responsible for a variety of supervisory activities including scheduling, training, coaching and making recommendations to the Supervisor about performance, hiring and termination decisions.
    • Participate in the transitions between shifts and communicate key information to peers, team member and Production Management.
    • Provide back-up to the department’s Group Leaders and Supervisors.
    • Prepare a variety of routine and special reports that document testing activities, test results, and operational issues involving product quality and safety.
    • Ensure operational compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in the areas of safety, employment, quality, work rules, good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, and others as established by communicating requirements to employees, validating understanding and correcting behavior as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    _EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS _

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of relevant experience and education.
    • Planning, organizing, coordinating and leadership skills.
    • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization,.
    • Strong problem solving, and decision making skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
