    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Our Accounting/Finance Intern will perform financial analyses to support and measure business unit results. They'll work independently and interact with regional and business group contacts to assist in the planning and analysis of quarterly forecasts and profit plans, monthly financial results and key financial targets.

    They'll get to learn how to create competitive analysis, industry trend research, and internal benchmarking while being exposed to different business groups within Johnson Controls including Operations, Transportation, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, and many others.

    This is an onsite (non-remote) position located in Milwaukee, WI starting Summer 2023. We offer temporary housing for the summer and can assist with ride shares if you don't have a car.

    HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

    • Summer 2023 - possibility to stay additional time or repeat the following summer

    • Leads a set of special projects designed to give experience in various business groups including but not limited to: Operations, Transportation, Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing.

    • Aids regional teams, business units, and plant locations as needed.

    • Assists in the development and presentation of monthly results and analysis for senior management.

    • Works with Finance Managers to develop supporting materials for use in forecast and profit plan reviews.

    • Assists in the preparation of the long-term strategic plan and supporting materials.

    • Drives key operational and financial performance metrics and derives insights from data that can be used to advance the organization.

    • Present findings, results, and analysis of projects and other work to senior leadership.

    WHAT WE LOOK FOR

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an HBCU

    • Pursuing a B.S. in Accounting or Finance with a Graduation date no sooner than Dec 2023.

    • Currently a Freshman/Sophomore/Junior status

    • Good Academic Standing

    • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

    • Ability to work 40 hrs a week in the Milwaukee office.
