Job Summary: The Engineering Project Manager for Laboratory Infrastructure leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of facility and utility projects that support research environments. Working with engineers, architects, and lab stakeholders, this role helps develop project scopes, technical requirements, drawings, and models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialized lab systems. The position supports schedule and budget development, oversees design and construction activities, and ensures all project documentation meets laboratory safety and regulatory standards.
Education:
Currently pursuing a BS degree (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Civil Engineering).
KSA's:
Understanding or working knowledge of Pro-E and/or AutoCAD experience.
Microsoft Office experience (including Excel).
Proficient oral and written communication and able to write clearly and succinctly to get a message across.
Ability to work FULL-TIME during the Summer - 40 Hour Week; Potential For Work Over Breaks
Responsibilities:
Support project planning: assist with scope definition, schedule tracking, and progress reporting.
Develop technical requirements help translate user needs into specs for MEP, HVAC, plumbing, and specialized lab systems.
Produce CAD and BIM deliverables: create and update 2D drawings, 3D models, equipment layouts, and utility diagrams.
Maintain BOMs and procurement documents: update equipment lists, track revisions, and support purchasing.
Assist commissioning and testing help execute field verification, commissioning checklists, and document test results.
Monitor cost and schedule: gather data for estimates, track change orders, and log project risks.
Coordinate stakeholders: attend meetings, document action items, and liaise with engineers, architects, facilities, and contractors.
Site support and travel: perform field visits for verification, construction observation, and commissioning as needed.
Other duties: perform assigned tasks that build technical and project management skills.

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
