    Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives.

    This is an onsite position located in Milwaukee, WI starting immediately through May 2023.

    HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

    • A successful Strategic Finance intern is a member of the Strategic Finance (SF) function within Strategy Acquisition Office (SAO)

    • As an SF intern, you will be supporting all financial aspects of various initiatives within the SAO- inclusive of Strategy, business development, Corporate Development, and integration.

    • You will be involved in gathering data, analysis, documenting, analyzing, offering recommendations, and presenting findings to management team as it relates to M&A due diligence.

    • You will also support the SAO initiatives on strategic and ad-hoc financial projects and reports; support and help identify and implement process improvements throughout the deal lifecycle.

    • Participate in the Johnson Controls Corporate Internship Program.

    WHAT WE LOOK FOR

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum level of education: Senior Year (May 2023 graduates) working toward bachelor’s degree - Finance, Accounting. Preferably enrolled in MBA - Masters in Finance and/or Accounting in the Milwaukee, WI area.

    • Strong understanding of Financial Statements, Knowledge of GAAP / IFRS, and various accounting concepts i.e. accrual accounting, revenue recognition etc.

    • Strong analytical thought process and very comfortable with creating financial models in Excel

    • Able to able to conduct research on various topics, markets, and products

    • Ability to capture, document and synthesize all the data and research collected and summarize using PowerPoint

    • High degree of business curiosity; quick learner and able to handle ambiguity and urgent requests

    • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-growth, and global environment

    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for reports and presentations

    • Team player and the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment with multi-cultural and global team.

    • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
