The Freelance eCommerce Writer will assist the GMA Digital Team in writing service shopping articles to appear in the GMA Shop section of the website. The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the online shopping landscape, focused in style, beauty, fashion, wellness and home verticals. A passion for lifestyle content is a must and this individual should have experience creating content for a lifestyle brand and know how to engage a mobile millennial audience. The candidate should be comfortable working quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrate ability to meet daily deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 2 years of experience writing in a fast-paced environment meeting daily deadlines. * Strong digital writing skills with experience working for an online media brand, preferably in the lifestyle space, engaging a mobile millennial audience. * Knowledge of the online shopping landscape across categories including style, beauty, fashion, home goods, etc. * Excellent time-management, organizational and planning skills with an impeccable attention to detail. * A willingness to work collaboratively with members of the GMA team and take direction on all editorial decisions. * Adherence to the highest standards of service journalism. * Strong familiarity of SEO practices preferred and what content performs well for a lifestyle brand. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conceive, pitch, report and write service-driven shopping articles that engage the GMA audience on a daily basis. * Closely monitor sales and deals that are relevant to our readers. * Research and execute plans around special shopping series, special projects, and futures.
