    Analytics Engineer Intern Web & Mobile Austin Internship Term: 2019 ANALYTICS ENGINEER INTERN Greetings, students! Were geared up here to offer another round of epic internship experiences in 2019. The internship program offers the opportunity to pause your studies for one summer and work side-by-side with Blizzard Entertainment employees in your area of interest, doing real work that oftentimes ends up in production. QUEST OBJECTIVES The ideal candidate for the role is passionate about engineering and wants to help us understand the behavior and needs of our players as they use our game websites, mobile apps, and games. Youll help identify growth areas and drivers and your work will help inform day-to-day decision making and help shape long-term project strategies. This person will play a vital role in transforming the business and data insight delivery and integration to a new level as they grow into an analytics subject matter expert. Responsibilities include: * Be a champion for the use of data and research in project execution across our department. * Work with analysts to build different experiences for A/B tests to help us optimize our products. * Improve our data pipeline architecture for analytics. * Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, i.e. automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, etc. * Work with engineers from multiple teams to architect and implement Google Analytics tagging. * Implement production monitoring of key performance indicators. * Partner with QA Teams on analytics automation. * Ad-hoc reporting. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS * Currently enrolled in a college or university * Returning for at least one more semester or quarter following the Summer 2019 internship * Able to work full time hours for 11 12 weeks at the Blizzard office indicated in this job posting between May 2019 August 2019 or June 2019 September 2019 (group dates depend on when you get out of school) * Authorized to work in the US This position is for our Austin, TX location. LEVEL REQUIREMENTS * Able to learn and understand software by reading source code and stepping through code under a debugger * Strong understanding of web-related technologies (i.e. Javascript, HTML, Node.js, REST) * Strong interpersonal skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams * Passion for web & mobile technology, gaming, and for creating great user-centered experiences * Comfortable with different programming languages and web frameworks RECOMMENDED TALENTS * Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) * Experience with A/B testing tools (Optimizely Web Experimentation, Adobe Target, Google Optimize, etc.) * Experience with SQL * Passion for Blizzard Entertainment games * Working towards a degree in Computer Science, or a related field QUEST ITEMS * Resume * Cover Letter * Code sample from one of your personal or school projects WARNING!
