NEW POSITION SUMMARY:
Vallen’s Integrated Supply Senior Director is a staff management position providing leadership and guidance to Integrated Supply Operation Directors, Senior Managers, and Site Managers. They lead the development and implementation of strategic operational strategy to support Integrated Supply customers. They collaborate with other organizational leaders to devise strategies and processes that ensure Vallen fulfills its contractual customer commitments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: _ _
- Provides primary leadership for the Integrated Supply operations team. Staff management duties include, but are not limited to interviewing, selecting, hiring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates while enforcing company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Approves and oversees the execution of multiple project plans simultaneously; formulates strategies for the execution of corrective action for project plan deviations; prepares and provides project status reports to customer and Vallen leadership teams as scheduled or requested.
- Collaborate with Vallen and customer leadership to develop strategies focused on expanding Vallen’s Integrated Supply client base to gain new business; partners with the Implementation and Solutions Design teams to seamlessly implement new customer contracts and solutions.
- Partners with the Integrated Supply sales team to support effective bid and proposal efforts, ensures that all operational expectations for both the customer and Vallen are being met.
- Responsible for P&L performance; develop forecasts and manage expenses.
- Monitors financial performance and customer obligations and KPIs to proactively identify performance issues and provide guidance for solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Mgt, Marketing, Finance, etc.) and 15+ years of outside or inside experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in supply chain management, wholesale distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a similarly applicable industry (indirect materials a plus).
- 8+ years of staff management with a proven track record as a team leader demonstrating a solid understanding of people management practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial and business acumen; strong understanding of interpreting and managing profit and loss statement expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
- Proficiency with MS-Office products (Excel, Word & Powerpoint) and the technical aptitude to learn all company specific programs and software applications.
- Strong presentation skills with professional presence to deliver materials to a C-level executive audience (internally and/or externally)
