KUNP/UNIVISION, the leading Spanish language TV station in Oregon and SW Washington, is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated BI-LINGUAL MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST who can work across all of our dynamic platforms—broadcast, online, and social media. A resume reel that displays solid photography and editing is required, but we are looking for much more than that.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Gather and report news of the day for on-air broadcast
• Ability to write, shoot and edit video that will be your own
• Write for both television broadcast and digital media and post to station's website
• Perform live shots
• Develop beats and sources
• Strong story-telling capability
• Responsible for covering general assignment news and for developing news sources and original stories
• Ability to write well, to tell stories effectively, to cover breaking news
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Journalism or related field, or specific work experience in TV news
• Photographer and non-linear editing experience required
• Advanced computer skills preferred
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English, spoken and written
• Strong understanding of current events for both Latino and General markets, including local, national and international stories
• Ability to work as a team with other staffers, or individually, to determine the content of a news story from inception to broadcast
• Must be able to present stories and information in a clear and understandable manner on air as a reporter, anchor, or interviewer
• Must be proficient in producing video packages in house or in the field on tight deadlines, producing copy and video stories for the web and mobile services and producing copy and material for special programs
• Must be able to juggle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Candidates must be available to work morning, afternoon, evening or weekend shifts
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
