Chicago Content Writing Internship Internships Chicago, Illinois Description INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Brafton is seeking enthusiastic interns to join our 6-10 week Copy Writing program! We aim to provide you with the tools and experience youll need to successfully navigate the workplace and further contribute to the field. Under the direction of Braftons dedicated Managing Editors, our interns will develop and cultivate a dynamic and invaluable skill set that will serve them well across a variety of professional sectors. As an Editorial Intern, you will be guided through nearly every aspect of modern content production, including lede gathering; story generation and production; editorial policy; time management; AP style review; peer editing and client communications. You will receive news policy training, shadow senior writers and editors, and work on live accounts in a support capacity. We are seeking talented writers and analytical journalists who are eager to develop a strong foundation in the tenets of marketing and content writing while cultivating a working knowledge of the industry. The summer internship will be held at our downtown Chicago headquarters. Summer 2018 programs start the week of 6/4 and run through the week of 8/6. Exceptions can be made based on university requirements. SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: * Great interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skills * Responsible, reliable, well-organized and highly self-motivated * Ability to think on feet, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure * Relevant major or field of study * Minimum GPA of 3.0 * Class: Rising Juniors/Seniors (Graduate students are welcome and encouraged to apply) * Weekly Time Commitment: 15-20 hours per week * Unpaid internship: available for course credit To learn more about Brafton, Check Out Our Careers Page!
