Youre currently at university (Bachelors or Masters level), sharpening your craft, and are looking for a competitive-pay summer internship with an awesome startup based in a Silicon Valley co-working space. Chartmetric (chartmetric.io) is a beautifully designed music industry intelligence tool with the most wide-ranging, customizable, and visually-engagingdata across Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music, Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Shazam, Songkick and more. Our mission: to create simple and elegant tools, democratizing the data for artists so they can make better decisions faster. Responsibilities: * Brainstorm on questions that artist managers, music labels, playlist curators, digital distributors, festival promoters are interested in. * Understand Chartmetrics data capabilities and work with the team to query the right data you need. * Use spreadsheet tools to analyze the numbers. * Write/edit with one of the teams editors and publish on our blog platform. * Compose company client emails / social media posts to publicize the work. Requirements:

• Creative and engaging writing voice thats one part music lover, one part data geek. * Possess a strong knowledge of the digital music landscape (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam). * Familiarity with various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter). * Pursuing degree in journalism, business, communications, entertainment, or data-related fields, or having substantial work showing such proficiency. * Ability to get to our office at least 3 days per week (M-F). Skills & Qualities: * Must-Haves: Excellent English writing / Basic Excel or Google Sheets knowledge / Medium platform familiarity. * Great-to-Haves: SQL language / Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). * Creative, motivated, resourceful, happy working solo or with others.
