What is an International Logistics Coordinator?Cinemark is currently seeking an International Logistics Coordinator to join the International Sourcing Team in Plano, TX. Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish both verbal and written. This person is responsible for the sourcing and exports to Latin America as well as imports, especially under those under special provision HTS 9801. In addition, the person will organize and oversee international transactions from start to finish for export and import of Latin America countries. A Day in the Life of an International Logistics Coordinator:The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for successfully coordinating the movement of the international ocean, airfreight, and cross-border shipments•Must be able to execute shipping transactions to South AmericaCoordinate consolidation and optimization of strategies, cost, and service performanceCoordinate international shipments to achieve financial and operational goals•Support the Corporate enterprise team on ocean carrier contract negotiation in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local - international laws/ regulations and the company policiesExecute international shipping optimization strategy directed by Trade Compliance DirectorPerform business and process analysis using the data and information provided by internal systems and outside sourcesCoordinate the successful routing of export ocean shipments and import Shipments via Air and OceanTrace shipments on daily basisConfirm data received is in compliance with all US Customs requirementsProcess all documents in accordance with requirementsCoordinate cargo availability and arrange pick-up and deliveryMonitor the performance of international carriers and provide feedback to ManagementAssist management in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) of international carriers and other international logistics intermediaries; including but not limited to compliance to allocations, on-time performance, and data accuracyCommunicate any transportation impacts to inter-company stakeholdersAdhere to established processes that enables information flow through all required communication channels with company stakeholdersCollaborate with Trade Compliance personnel to minimize delays in import and export shipmentsProvide transportation capacity forecasts to ocean, air, and land carriersEnsure timely payments are made to carriersPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needsEnsures work aligns with processes, policies and objectivesCollaborates with and establishes positive working relationships with clients, employees, and industry professionalsProvides excellent client services and delivers on time high quality resultsAdvanced transportation skills in all modes of international logistics including full container load, less-than-container load, airfreight, local drayage, and hotshot deliveryProcure goods to fill international requisitions.Create purchase orders and process invoicesManage consolidation & exporting goodsManage imports and maintain import/export filesVerify country of origin of productsMaintain records of goods ordered and received You Will Need to Have:Must be fluent in English & Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese, desirable but not requiredThis position requires frequent interaction with vendors, warehouse personnel, freight forwarders, and staff in our international offices. Ability to prioritize and stay on-task while handling multiple projects is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to follow through are also required.
