    Flyers Charities Intern (Fall 2018) Location US-PA-Philadelphia Job ID 2018-3562 Group Philadelphia Flyers Location Name Wells Fargo Center Category Non-Profit/Community Investment Type Intern Overview Flyers Charities intern will be working alongside the Flyers Charities team in the preparation and execution of events, programs and development. Interns will gain experiential learning in the non-profit and sports industry. Candidates must be able to collaborate on projects, take direction/critique, and manage workload in a timely manner. The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Maintaining donation databases and files, including logging donations and generating/sending acknowledgements. Help manage License Plate program for Pennsylvania and Delaware and coordinate with DMV for corresponding state. Assist in the preparation and coordination of charity events for Flyers Charities (including Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival, Flyers Charity Classic and any other charitable events and programs). Update and help generate content for the Flyers Charities website and all social media platforms. Assist in sponsorship fulfillment and tracking of all event and program sponsors. Attend meetings, answer telephones, distribute mail, and assist with call-ins, take ticket orders. Assist in the solicitation, mailing, and distribution of event and organization information. Sales & leads contact for sponsorship solicitation for fundraising. Occasional lifting is required for events, event preparation, inventory maintenance and game night set-up and clean up. Administrative duties assigned by charities staff members. Occasional nights or weekends are required. Qualifications College juniors, seniors, or graduate students working for earned credits. Must be dependable, friendly, personable, and outgoing. Applicants must be willing to get involved in projects with varying degrees of difficulty.
