What You Will Be Doing Cvent is searching for a 2L or 3L fall intern in our global headquarters located in Tysons Corner, Virginia. This position represents a great opportunity to experience the inner workings of the in-house legal department of a fast-growing global technology company. This experience will be excellent preparation for a private practice as the intern will learn first-hand about the expectations and needs of corporate clients. Our intern will work with all members of our close-knit, dynamic legal team. S/he will work on projects in several areas, including general corporate law, compliance, employment law, international laws and regulations, intellectual property, privacy, and contract law. The intern will engage in a variety of projects, such as researching legal issues and advising the business principals, drafting contracts with customers or vendors, revising compliance policies, or assisting with various filings, litigation, or mergers & acquisitions as these events occur. Skills/Requirements * Currently enrolled at an ABA accredited law school. * Bachelors degree with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater. * Strong legal research and writing skills. * Strong oral and written communications skills. * A positive, can-do attitude. * An interest in corporate and/or technology law. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal research methods. * Applications should include a résumé, writing sample and law school and undergraduate transcripts.
