Disney Parks Live Entertainment is a dynamic entertainment environment, offering nothing less than the perfect show for millions of Guests worldwide.As an integral part of this organization, the Show Development & Production teams at Walt Disney World Resort is responsible for designing and implementing the creative and technical elements of all live show Entertainment offerings in our domestic parks as well as special event sites globally. -Responsibilities:Make an impact by -Interact with/support the Entertainment Production teams including Producers, Production Managers, Entertainment Managers, Production Assistants, Show Directors, Music Directors and Design teams -Maintain and update project timelines, production calendars, schedules, meetings and status reports -Provide pertinent information for all projects and events -Attend appropriate Disney Parks Live Entertainment Production meetings -Schedule and coordinate rehearsals, load-ins, and strikes by confirming all elements relating to development and execution of projects or events -Elements may include Walt Disney World Characters, equity performers, musicians, DJs, name talent, audio-visual support, vehicles, external vendors, and technical support -Support the Entertainment Production team in the procurement of research materials, the gathering and coordination of presentation materials, and the preparation of authorizations and purchases -Build relationships with key entertainment partnersMust be comfortable working early mornings, days, evenings and overnights as intern's schedule is dependent on scheduled events -Basic Qualifications:What you bring to this role These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position: -Currently earning a college/university degree in Stage Management, Event Management, or related field -Completion of at least three years of college courses -Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines -Ability to handle multiple tasks and confidential information -Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment -Ability to learn new design software applications as appropriate -Demonstrated computer proficiency within a Windows environment such as Excel, MS PowerPoint -Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail -Demonstrated initiative and drive -Demonstrated ability to manage conflict/resolution and problem solving skills -Demonstrated strong partnering skills -Must provide own transportation to/from workAbility to be flexible with work schedule, including days, nights, and holidays -Preferred Qualifications:Showcase your skills in -Earning or completing MBA in an entertainment-related field -Prior participation in the Disney College Program -Experience in Stage Management and/or technical stage background is preferred -Minimum 3.0 Overall G.P.A. -Additional Information:Internship Eligibility: -Must be enrolled in aU.S. college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship -Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs -Must possess unrestricted work authorization -Must provide full work availability -Must provide own transportation to/from work -Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (forWalt Disney Worldcast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; forDisneylandcast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months) Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 through January 2019 Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
