The station is in the #2 ranked television market in the country. Weekly, ABC7 produces over forty-four hours of local news, public affairs, magazine programs and public service campaigns. You will have opportunity to observe and participate in the daily work and operations of a major market television station. -Responsibilities:Your Role Some of your projects with the ABC7 marketing team may include: -liaising between sales account executives and the creative services team, to execute promotional campaigns of both marketing of station-wide initiatives and specific client promotions -promotional spot production and managing details for sweepstakes -new business campaigns, working with the team and clients to ensure a smooth transition into local broadcast television advertising -recapping promotions from ABC7.com and ABC7s Facebook page -building out sweepstakes in Woobox -liaising with digital teams in New York and Seattle to ensure the input of digital orders in Freewheel -customizing presentation decks for digital and promotional campaigns -gathering assets for billboards, on-air promo spots, station integrations, and Eye on LA and Vista segments -Basic Qualifications:What you bring to the role: -Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. -Strong proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. -Prior experience within marketing and/or sales, professionally or as an internship. -Prior experience working in an office setting, including answering phones and emails. -Proficiency with social media management. Plus -All candidates must be eligible to work in the US. -All candidates must be at least 18 years old. -All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class OR be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship. -All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the Fall internship program. -All candidates must be available to work 24 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule (days to be determined by your supervisor). -All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session. -All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship. -Preferred Qualifications:-Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date. -Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related major. -Able to take initiative and have follow-through on projects. -Detail oriented and strong organizational skills. -About Disney ABC Television Group: Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) redefines the future of media and entertainment.
