The Global Information Security (GIS) group provides services and solutions to protect the value and use of Disneyâ??s information through risk evaluation, collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and education across the enterprise. We protect the brand and reputation while enabling and supporting business objectives. GIS teams are located in Seattle, Burbank, and Orlando. In order to ensure that our services keep TWDC secure, we follow an ongoing, iterative process, including continued reevaluation of our services over time to address emerging threats as well as changes in business and technology. This process includes: 1. Analysis of known and emerging threats to determine risks against TWDC assets 2. Creation, maintenance, governance and communication of security policies and standards across TWDC 3. Assessment and audit of compliance against the security policies and standards 4. Responsibilities: A Day In the Life... This intern, in partnership with other GIS team members, will provide analysis of identified gaps in control coverage and design, develop and implement solutions to information security related challenges.The security intern is responsible for: * Assisting in execution of assessments (e.g., security assessments) * Assisting in preparation documentation (e.g., notices of decision, control mplementation guidance, reporting standards, metrics compilation), position papers, assessment recaps following processes detailed in the GIS service catalog * Assisting in risk and threat analysis activities Basic Qualifications: * Experience with Windows OS 3+, Unix OS 3+, Relational DB 2+ Preferred Qualifications: * Scripting tools, e.g. Python proficiency * Understanding of network technologies * ITIL Foundations Certification Required Education * Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program Preferred Education * Pursuing Masters in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or Engineering, MIS or related field Additional Information: * The approximate dates of this internship are September 2018 through December 2018 * Candidate must be available to work part time/full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship * Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program * Must possess unrestricted work authorization * Must be at least 18 years of age About The Walt Disney Company (Corporate): At Disney Corporate you can see how the businesses behind the Companyâ??s powerful brands come together to create the most innovative, far-reaching and admired entertainment company in the world.
