The group includes ABC Entertainment, which is responsible for all network primetime and late-night entertainment programming. ABCs viewing experience is enhanced through a variety of innovative and award-winning digital entertainment platforms, including a full-episode player on ABC.com and an iPad app, and extends to more than 1,000 platform partners worldwide via Disney Media Distribution. The ABC Entertainment Drama Development team oversees all primetime scripted drama series development. -Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Distribution of various documents and media internally. -Assisting with office duties such as copying, faxing, filing, and general organization. -Reading scripts and writing coverage. -Supporting Assistants and Coordinator with light desk and phone coverage. -Basic Qualifications:What you bring to the role: -Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. -Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. -Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry. -Previous internship experience within a related field. -An interest in scripted television and hunger to learn about network television. -Strong attention to detail. -Responsible, dependable, and organized with excellent communication/writing skills. -Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments by deadline. PLUS: -All candidates must be eligible to work in the US. -All candidates must be at least 18 years old. -All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class OR be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship. -All candidates must be available during the months of September through December for the Fall internship program. -All candidates must be available to work 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA on a Monday through Friday daytime schedule. -All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session. -All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship. -Preferred Qualifications:-Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date. -Experience in covering phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership. -Knowledge of current series on ABC and other networks. -About Disney ABC Television Group: Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) redefines the future of media and entertainment.
