BDE is responsible for determining gaps and limitations in the current build and deployment process and provide solutions. The team maintains build pipelines, deployment pipelines, testing tools, and other services. The team interfaces with Dev teams, QE teams, Operations teams and more to build and extend tools to support the organization. Disney Seattle is a large, flourishing tech-focused office, where teams develop internet applications and services for all of the major domestic and international businesses across Disney. The office is located in the heart of downtown Seattle, near convenient public transport hubs, easy access to ferries, buses, and situated across from the iconic Seattle library. -Responsibilities:BDE is looking to step up its game and move from support type activity to full blown engineering, and we're looking for an intern to help us get there! This team is a dynamic mix of system administration, customer service, and software engineering. Youll be helping on developer teams, writing scripts, thinking about software architecture and playing with the latest in build tools and cloud automation! What you can expect -Provide support on automated builds and continuous integration systems -Provide support on tools that manage automated code deployments during the release process -Monitor continuous integration systems to ensure the correct build execution and troubleshoot build failures -Maintain documentation of the build and continuous integration systems -Basic Qualifications:What we are looking for -Experience maintaining a production build and delivery system for a large software project, preferably developed in Java, with proficiency in: -Jenkins/Gitlab CI Continuous integration systems -Linux environments -Ruby or Python/Node.JS programming skills -Bash scripting -Preferred Qualifications: -Knowledge of static code analysis tools, desired -Experience with Apache Maven build automation framework -Experience using Chef to deploy web services -Required Education -Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program -Junior or Senior of Computer Science degree, or equivalent achieved or in progress -About Direct-to-Consumer and International: Comprised of Disneys international media businesses and the Companys various streaming services, the Direct-to-Consumer and International segment aligns technology, content and distribution platforms to expand the Companys global footprint and deliver world-class, personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world. This segment is responsible for The Walt Disney Companys direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including the ESPN+ sports streaming service, programmed in partnership with ESPN; the upcoming Disney-branded direct-to-consumer streaming service; and the Companys ownership stake in Hulu.
