    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Assist in the development of product line business strategies to include short term and long term plans to build brand equity and consumer desirability for assigned product category.
    • Develop and/or coordinate selling materials (catalogs, samples, sell sheets, price lists) for sales managers and key accounts.
    • Create and maintain line list and tracking information for assigned product lines - core product lines and customer specific programs.
    • Create and maintain specification sheets for core line and key account programs.
    • Work with internal departments to ensure timely item costing and set up.
    • Maintain competitive files and products.
    • Develop prototype product for sales presentations and vendor quotes.
    • Work with sales and purchasing on developing display vehicles.
    • Participate in product reviews with sales management and sales reps.
    • Deliver products to market in a timely manner with attention towards innovation.
    • Daily direct communication with internal and external partners including the Hong Kong office.
    • Licensing responsibilities that can include assisting management in identifying new licenses, maintaining existing relationships, managing contracts and royalty rates.
    • Prepare for and participate in trade shows and events. Travel to buying office appointment when necessary and spend time in the retail market to understand current trends, competition, and packaging.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar discipline.
    • 3-5 years’ previous marketing and product development experience required. Prior consumer products experience desired, but not required.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
    • Must be creative and solution-driven with the ability to multi-task.
    • Strong communication skills include both written and verbal skills.
    • Ability to communicate ideas within a highly collaborative product development process including giving and receiving feedback.
    • Must be deadline conscious and detail oriented with the ability to self-direct priorities.
    • Intimate knowledge of computer software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Travel for trend trips or trade shows may be required.

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent and 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
