Summit Technical Solutions (STS) has an immediate opportunity for a RADAR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in support of the AN/FPQ-16 & AN/FSQ-100 (Radar & Data Processing) Systems. This position is located at Cavalier AFS, North Dakota.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide maintenance support using special and general-purpose test and monitoring equipment
• Responsible for ensuring that current essential technical data is available for maintenance tasks
• Assures compliance with approved maintenance procedures
• Must be able to read and comprehend complex technical data approved for use in all maintenance actions
• Must be able to use special tools and test equipment associated with the Radar & DP maintenance program
• Accurately records all maintenance actions
• Annotates PMI/CMDS listings to show PM completion
• May be qualified as a MWOC Support Technician (MST), to support the mission
• Accountable for government- and contractor-furnished equipment
• Aware of work hazards associated with the job duties and control measure required to counteract them
• Participate in relevant quality, environmental, safety, security, and disaster preparedness programs
• Maintains job proficiency by participating in the training program
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Secret security clearance is required
• Must have Unix and Windows Operations Systems experience
• 4+ years’ experience in the data processing system area desired. Experience time can include up to two years of formal education.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of one-year electronic vocational training course or equivalent

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 U.S. Citizen

• Active Secret clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret.  Must be able to maintain the clearance throughout period of employment
