FIS is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Orlando (Maitland) based community core Professional Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes to contribute new ideas and is willing to put in the work to build their career. While desired, previous business analyst experience is not required. What is required is a can do attitude and enthusiasm. If you have banking and/or analyst experience this is a great opportunity to put that to work implementing products and services for FIS. This individual will work to implement various core ancillary products for FIS clients. The candidate must be comfortable working independently and in a team environment. The analyst in this position works closely with project managers, programmers and other team members to implement the various products and services that FIS offers. The ideal candidate: - Is looking to join our team and build a long-term career with FIS. - Has excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Implements projects delivered on time and within budget. - Enjoys collaborating with others. - Understands the banking industry. - Pursuing a bachelors degree from a 4yr accredited university - GP 3.0+ - Rising senior graduating in December 2019 through May 2020 General duties and responsibilities: - Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. - Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. - Collaborates with business partners and service providers across multiple business units in FIS. - Analyzes marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services, etc. - Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics, identifies improvement opportunities. - Calculates/estimates level of effort and costs for custom project work. - Writes test plans and test cases to ensure changes which are made to the application meet client needs and that application integrity is maintained. - Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests. Ensures that the changes made by programmers are correct. Conducts tests using client data to be certain client needs will be met. Verifies through testing that changes made by programmers to one part of the application do not impact other parts. Reports and reviews testing results. - Trains internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems or new procedures. - May mentor, guide, advise and or check the work of less experienced analysts. - Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. - Performs other related duties as required.
