As a 2019 Summer Intern with FIS, you will benefit from on the job training and mentoring along with participation in team projects, community service events, social outings, and professional development seminars. This is a full time (40hrs/week) Paid internship that will begin on June 3, 2019 and conclude on August 9, 2019. Interns will receive the opportunity to build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal skills. An intern should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager. Interns will also interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value. Business Unit/Function: CISO (IT Security Operations) Function: Analyst IT Security Team The following duties are outlined in consideration that the candidate would know basic computer networking knowledge and understanding of IT Security & Management: - Work as an analyst in researching logs collected from various network devices to identify security risks. - Analyze the latest cyber threat intel journals and assess the impact on a typical IT setup - Create reports and documentation around cyber security threats published that are related to the financial industry Qualifications: - Applicant must be currently enrolled in collegiate coursework at an accredited university. - Displays good written and oral communication skills. - Demonstrates strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office. - Additional skills, knowledge, and experience may be required based on the type of functions the incumbent will perform. - Basic knowledge of IT and computer networking - Any degree related to IT Management / IT Security Domain - Excellent analytical skills Entry level role. Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. Generally performs single-function tasks that tend to be of small to moderate size and scope. Works under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. Typically does not require prior related experience.
