During the program, the intern will learn about the FIS corporate structure and how the audit process touches each business unit. The intern will participate in audit projects that will generate meaningful work product through use of specialized audit and data analysis software, as well as the Microsoft Office suite. A successful candidate will have a technical or financial background with prior experience in planning and delivering small projects or work assignments against defined schedules. - Participate in audit projects to evaluate and improve business processes. - Gain familiarity with the applications and tools used at FIS to conduct day-to-day business. - Observe and participate in a business unit or corporate audit, and assist the FIS Internal Audit team to: - Assess business processes from a big picture' perspective - Identify opportunities to enhance company efficiency - Develop value-adding recommendations to be considered by all levels of company management - Identify and present findings and make recommendations to FIS management team - Learn compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity - Become familiar with FIS Internal audit methodology - Propose and develop creative solutions to business needs as defined by the FIS Internal Audit Department - Seek opportunities for increased responsibility and challenging assignments. Qualifications: - Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a degree in a related field of study. Preference will be given to Accounting, Business, and Finance majors. - Displays good written and oral communication skills - Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of MS Office - Ability to work in one of FIS strategic locations for the duration of the internship GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher - Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork and time management skills. - Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas - Additional skills, knowledge, and experience may be required based on the type of functions the incumbent will perform.
