StandUp Wireless is seeking an experienced Desktop/IT Support Specialist. Reporting to the Vice President of IT, the Desktop/IT Support Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing a best in class desktop/IT support program from the ground up, designing and maintaining a customer first approach to desktop support. The Desktop/IT Support Specialist works across a broad range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems and requests. Responsible for answering IT requests via phone, email, live chat or instant message and explaining solutions in technical and nontechnical terms. StandUp Wireless is headquartered in Atlanta, GA (Norcross) with offices in Rockville, MD, Denver, CO and Cincinnati, OH. This position will work out of our Atlanta, GA (Norcross) office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. * Build and install PCs, telephone systems, wireless networks and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile/smart phones) related to desktop infrastructure. * Maintain installed PCs, networks, telephone systems and peripherals with routine maintenance. * Identify and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems * Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation. * Manage ordering, tracking and forecasting of IT inventory. * Create, maintain, and distribute reports of issues, resolutions and progress. * Explain and document technical issues in a clear way to clients. * Maintain vendor relationships to include: Leased equipment, service providers, etc. The Ideal candidate MUST BE legally authorized to work in the US for any employer and possess the following skills: * Excellent customer service in face-to-face, telephone or electronic interaction with clients. * Demonstrated understanding of computer support and troubleshooting. * Expert knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server products. * Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, using a proactive approach. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, with short deadlines, and high customer expectations. * Ability to meet deadlines. * Strong interpersonal skills, team work, technical writing ability, negotiation, vendor management, and presentation skills. * Demonstrated understanding of Active Directory User Account Management. * Experience with VPN and network sharing technologies. Education and/or Experience * BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. * Demonstrated background in directly supporting 25+ internal customers. * Minimum 1 to 3 years desktop support or related experience required.
