Starting pay is $14/hr with an increase to $15/hr after 90 days. This position requires a detail-oriented, well organized individual to be responsible for the accurate and timely picking and packing of customer orders. The right candidate will accurately pick orders, pack, and label cartons for shipment to customers, and assist with other day-to-day activities of the department. Daily Responsibilities: * Fill all orders exactly as written on individual box pick tickets. * Select products in the order they are listed on the pick ticket. * Check ISBN (item #) and title to ensure that the correct product is selected. * Check location number to ensure that the product is being picked from the location specified on the pick ticket. * Place the completed pick ticket in front of the first book in the box, and place on the conveyor.

• Fill all orders on the day received, when a pick ticket is received before 3:00 p.m. * All air shipments must be completed and shipped same day. * Clean work area at end of day. * Assist with light maintenance. * Assist in assembling mailings, when needed. Candidate Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners preferred. * One year of experience in a distribution environment picking and packing orders, preferred. * Must be able to perform basic math functions. Required Skills * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds manually, at chest height, frequently during an 8-hour shift. * Must be able to bend over, to work at floor level, for up to 30 minutes at a time. * Must be able to walk and stand for up to 4 hours at a time during an 8-hour shift. * Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate power truck equipment and hand held RF scanners. * Forklift certification preferred.
