third year law student to serveas an intern in our Legal Department. The Law Student Intern would be assignedas an intern for the summer. Intuits legal dept. supports all areas ofcommercial transactions, marketing and consumer protection, regulatorycompliance, product, corporate governance, employment, litigation, privacy,data protection and IP for the Company and its global operations. Theposition reports in to the Legal Departments Compliance Team, particularlyfocused on money movement applications and products. This intern will workunder the supervision of compliance officers and compliance department heads. Proposed Projectsinclude: * Working with the business to understand and ultimately design compliance requirements. * Walking through and developing process maps relevant to regulatory compliance obligations. * Converting compliance requirements and process maps into policies and procedures. * Collaborating with the Product, Risk, and Legal teams to define specific business requirements based on Money Transmission regulations. * Assisting the Compliance team for framework buildouts, enhancements, and documentation of the processes end-to-end. * Conductingtesting and documentation of necessary compliance controls. * Monitoring & tracking proposedlegislation impacting current Intuit products. * Drafting summaries of regulatorydevelopments, proposed legislation, and recommendations in order to fulfillcompliance obligations. Theobjective is to provide legal assistance for the Legal Departments ComplianceTeam staff, and to provide the intern with practical, hands-on, in- house legal complianceexperience. The intern will have an assigned supervisor/mentor to learn thepractical aspects to navigate successfully in a fast paced, global in-housecompany.
