The successful candidate for this position will be an employee of Holtzbrinck Publishers, LLC. Requirements Position Description: Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, this person will be an integral member of our Biblio team. Biblio is the database system Macmillan uses to maintain publishing operations and metadata for all of our books and products. The Associate of Business Systems will provide Biblio support to Macmillans entire user group, interacting with users from editorial, art, marketing, production, audio, contracts, and sales. They will participate in quarterly release testing for Biblio updates, manage tasks needed for system maintenance, and participate in projects to adapt our systems to changing business needs. Lastly, they will learn and perform administrative tasks in Salesforce and provide user support to our publicity team. This would be a great opportunity for someone interested in a career in publishing operations. The ideal candidate would have equal enthusiasm for books, working with people, and spreadsheets. While familiarity with Biblio or Salesforce is an asset, we will be happy to train the right candidate. Major Responsibilities: Biblio systems support: Contribute to the overall maintenance of Biblio. This will include testing of quarterly release cycles, both in functional testing of new developments and regression testing. This will also include managing day-to-day tasks needed to keep Biblio and our ONIX feed operating smoothly. Biblio user support: Contribute to general user support for 775 Biblio users across Macmillan, answering general questions, maintaining accounts, and assisting with reporting queries. In order to be able to answer questions and problem solve, this person will need to develop an understanding of different workflows and job functions throughout the company. Salesforce administration: Assist with our Salesforce implementation for publicity, answering user questions and managing periodic maintenance tasks needed to keep Salesforce running smoothly. Participate in ad hoc departmental projects.
